We had five litters, totalling 17 puppies. All have been spoken for except these two darling boys.

Betty's puppy at 7 weeks

Marley's boy at 12 weeks

We have also placed three of the more socialized mothers and are in the process of socializing the other three moms who have been traumatized by their years in the cages of a puppy mill. Every small advance with these three girls is a major success.

Great job, Richard. Most people don't understand how the dogs in a puppymill are treated. No socialization. No places to run around. Just a cage and seldom with enough room to stand. These dogs are there to breed and make $$$ for the owners of the mill. Period.

You're doing a wonderful job. Thanks for all your efforts.

Jim

And it won't be long until those two are placed. I am sure you have plenty of applicants for puppies that cute.

Puppy mills are very sad. Its so hard for the general public to understand the difference between a breeder who cares about their litters and a puppy mill. Anyone who breeds has now been lumped into the evil category.

Until people like Jim and I who have our entire lives come to a halt when we have a litter.

We no longer breed but, unlike many rescue folks, do not have anything against responsible breeding.

In fact, the medical expenses for our rescue Maltese is reimbursed from the American Maltese Associations, Maltese Rescue. We could not participate in rescue to the degree that we do without the support of breeders in our organization.
