why is it that portraits are popular this week? I was soooo slammed with portraits at this trial, that I missed a few of the agility classes (and that is what I was there to shoot) LOL

I think, between the dog park & the agility trial, I've done close to 50 dog portraits this week, plus a couple in studio too

here are a few of them

Love the one of the golden in the hat and scarf. Sorry you missed the agility classes.

Well lit, well done Nina.

Just a matter of taste and style, but I miss the catchlight in #5 camera left eye.

Hey Nina,

Very nice. It looks like many of them had been done at the groomers recently.

thanks all

James, I doubt they were well groomed, these were taken on days 2 & 3 of an agility trial that was in an indoor horse arena ... grooming is never at the top of the list for agility dogs

psmith, agree, but it was still the cutest shot of the set LOL I don't usually have a fill, so not much chance of a catchlight when they turn their heads away from the main

the golden in the hat really shows my lighting LOL (or lack of on that side)

I shoot Canon

Very nice! Especially like the merle Sheltie, and the curly dog, is that a Portuguese water dog?
