Nice shots, James. I saw some coyotes at a distance when I was in the Tetons, but didn't take the time to stop and watch. Too much to do... what a great place!

Thanks, Roman. Believe it or not, this is the 'b' series of images that I have of coyotes from the trip. I have a much better series of the same coyote that I am saving up for our article. This trip was a whole lot of fun and I hope it ultimately comes out in the photos and articles. I am always paranoid about turning a wonderful experience into a dreadful bore. James

James,
Very nice! I, too, love the coyote. Could be, because we have a rather large den within 500 yards of our house. The only "complaint" I have about them is that the pups born earlier this year are VERY loud throughout the night. But their "howling' is absolutely hysterical! I think they try to imitate sounds they've picked up elsewhere, such as a rooster's call, etc. We can definitely identify individual pups by their calls. It's a lot of fun right now.
