I am a newcommer and look forward to all this forum has to offer. My main focus is dogs in action and wildlife/nature so this website appears to be a great fit for me. I live in New England and keep pretty busy with dog events, bot photographing and participating. [image]http://www.pbase.com/lesleylou/image/127051700[/image]

Hey Leslie!

Welcome! You will love it here Leslie. You have to chat with Jim Garvie, he would love Kelvin and Posey, he breeds Rotties.

Hi Lesley and welcome. Some very nice images in that gallery. I'm looking forward to seeing more. You're going to have to learn how to post photos, however. You need to put a .jpg after the image number. Try that and I think you'll have it knocked.

Jim

Thanks, Jim, but do you upload a photo or do you put the URL in for it? I am a little confused as to how this works. When I click on " image " when creating a post it gives me a little window to paste a URL in it. What am I doing wrong besides the " .jpg" Thanks in advanced... BTW... I am a Rottweiler person. I compete in agility with my boy and have started to do other things like Rally , and we are in training for obedience and I hope to get back to herding with him.

Welcome Lesley.

If it is on your HD then you cannot link to it. In your original post with the link to Pbase the info inside the brackets should be:

http://www.pbase.com/lesleylou/image/127051700.jpg

Hi Lesley,

To post the actual photo here, if Pbase allows it, look for the "embeddable forum" link and copy that. It should look something like this:

The code looks like this:
[ url=http://www.wagsandwhiskersphotography.com/Proofs/American-Eskimos/7482020_TwBGt#912944768_PTutw-A-LB]/American-Eskimos/Pooh-the-Ball062310213/912944768_PTutw-S.jpg[/img] [/url]

you need both the [img] tag and the [url] tag.

If Pbase doesn't have an embeddable link, you can just post the link in the body of the post like Preston showed.

I use PBASE for all my forum posts.

You have to use the url from viewing the image in PBase inside the tags (replace the "*" with [ and]) it looks like this:

*img*http://www.pbase.com/jimpoor/image/99715516/original.jpg*[/img]

When you replace the "*" you get this:

You also need to include the /original or /medium, etc for PBASE links.

That said, I believe you have direct linking blocked on your PBASE account, so it won't work.

So this is what I get when I get the URL for linking from view Image in pbase

Lesley,

Did you check your account profile on pBase (under Options) to ensure that your account allows direct linking?
