Parks need more minorities
Oprah’s recent camping trip in Yosemite National Park has helped bring to light the fact that people of color remain largely absent from our national parks as both visitors and as National Park Service staff. In Florida, only 4 percent of visitors to Everglades National Park are Hispanic or African American — even though nearby Miami is 54 percent Hispanic and 14 percent African American.

Environmentalists condemn plans to build golf course in game park
Environmentalists have criticised President Museveni’s directive to allow a golf course be constructed in Murchison Falls National Park.
