Just heard last evening that a lovely puppy we've known since birth passed away unexpectedly yesterday. Darkwaters Royal Blue Mako was just 9 months old. We evaluated his litter for the owners and Mako was our pick. He went Best In Sweepstakes at the Gulfstream Rottweiler Specialty in December where Moxie went Best Of Opposite Sex in Sweeps to him. He was pretty, sweet and always gave me kisses at every show where we saw him. Here are two shots of Mako, the first after we evaluated the litter and the second of him showing just last weekend.

Losing a dog at 11 years of age after a full life is hard enough. To lose a puppy with so much life and so much promise is just devastating. Our deepest condolences to owner Kristina Chriscoe and breeders Tonya and David Williamson.

Hey Jim,

That is sad to hear. Having lost some of our guys at way to premature an age, I can definitely empathize. Do they know exactly what happened?

James

James,
I don't really know. They did a necropsy but I've not heard the results of that. Hope to hear more today.

Always makes my heart sink when one of my beloved breed dies so young. I'll give my two an extra hug in memory of this cool little guy.

It's always hard news to hear . . . even for animals I've never met. My condolences go out to Mako's family.
