James,

I know how harrowing upgrading a site is, so you can just file this suggestion until the upgrade is done. UBB.threads allows you to enable RSS for any forum and it would really be great if you could enable it for your forums. These days I follow most sites I'm interested in through RSS and I'm sure I'm not alone. Good luck on getting the upgrade done.

Geo

Hey George,

Thanks for the feedback. Absolutely. RSS will definitely be incorporated on the website. Here is the plan I have so far:

(1) I need to get the front page up and operational. RSS will definitely be part of that.
(1a) I need to begin publishing material again. I have Julie Poole's Interview as well as an article from Helmi Flick.
(2) I need to get the pro forum up and running. When that does, Jim Poor has volunteered to help moderate it (Yeah, Jim!).
(3) I need to begin cataloging all of the older articles and begin putting them on-line.

A lot to be done - and if folks have feedback for other ideas for the site, don't be afraid to launch them at us. By the time we are done, I am sure that we will be prime for the UBB 8.0 upgrade, which will make us going through a similar (but I hope) smaller period of chaos.

James

Roman,

It's definitely worth researching RSS. It makes it really easy to aggregate all the web sites I follow. I use MyYahoo as a home page and it is very easy with RSS to subscribe to sites and have the topics listed for different sites all in one place. When you see something you want to read, just click on it and you're at the site. Here is a screen shot of my photo tab page with the General Forum Hot Topics listed with all the other sites I follow.

James,

Thanks. It's working great for the General forum, but it doesn't seem to be working for the other ones.

Thanks again.

Hi Geo,

Our forum offers 'single rss' and 'multi rss.' I have disabled the single rss, which may have been interfering.

Try this URL for the RSS.
http://www.nwpphotoforum.com/ubbthreads/cache/global_rss2.xml

BTW, Thank you for helping be a guinea pig and test the features out. We are trying to get fuller documentation on the website.
