This is a shot I took last year of the Tetons from Idaho. The shot is a bit hazy, but otherwise, I am rather fond of it. Mostly because you always see it from the other direction.

James, thanks for posting that angle, it is uncommon to see the Tetons from that side.

I feel like it's about .6 degrees off level. It feels like the photo is angled to the right. I tried to level it a bit, maybe it's my eyes, maybe not, but here's what i did.

I balanced it a bit by using a grid and the eve line of the house. . . The overhang on the garage should be the same as the overhang on the front porch. . . However, I'm not sure it looks any better after the adjustments. It's a strange place, what are your thoughts on the balance, i gave it 1.5 degrees of left rotation.

I also cooled it down a bit. .

I think it may need even more rotation, or not. I dont know. . . It's perplexing. I hope other's give their thoughts - Dave? Roman? Anyone?

Both versions look good to me. Could be the house is less than straight itself - the hills where I live have a lot of houses that would never have passed a Building Inspection.

Love the Tetons, flew around them in a glider years ago, and also saw them from a hot air balloon, so great memories of the area but too few photographs. Still have the "Soar the Tetons" t-shirt but it doesn't fit me now, funny that.

I would level off the house because there is no level land in that country. I am not a big fan of filters, but this is one case where a haze filter might have helped.

Hey Guys,

There was a haze filter on the camera. It was just VERY hazy. LOL. I like the sky much better in the shot that Tony processed. However, as I recall, the problem was indeed that the land was entirely rolling. No straight lines...it was a LOT of fun driving on it.
