Hi Katie,

the biggest issue I see is the horizon is running downhill. A little leveling would go a long way towards making it a really nice shot.

Is that something that can be fixed in PS?

Nice shot. The colors are very nice. Yes, you can correct the horizon in photoshop. But, I disagree that this image is off level. It's a stream that's running from upper left to lower right, so the horizon line seems to run a bit overly clockwise. Also, there may be a bit of barrel distortion, which seems most apparent in the reflections at the lower left. However, if you look at the right side trees, the house, and the reflections, it appears that the verticals are properly plumb. I wouldn't rotate this image at all.

In determining if an image is level or not, there is nothing better than doing it in camera first and figuring out if that is how you like it later. A bubble level is a great tool for this sort of thing.

I'm not looking at the creek, I'm looking at the horizon. It appears to run a bit downhill. The roof on the house is parallel to the horizon... ie running somewhat downhill. All the trees on the LH side appear slightly tilted in to the right, though that could be lens distortion. It's not a lot. Probably somewhere between 1 and 2 degrees.

Also, sometimes what actually is level and what looks level to viewers are two different thing. If it were mine I'd have to play with a little to make it seem level whether it actually needed it or not. It can be corrected in Photoshop or, if shot as raw, in Adobe Camear Raw or Light Room. I'd be happy to grab a copy and straighten as I think is appropriate, but only with Katie's permission.

It's a nice image, no question about that.
