James Morrissey I Carpal Tunnel Registered: 02/10/05 Posts: 7576 Loc: Manhattan, New York, New York	Hey Everyone, I shot 14 portrait sessions today while at the Brooklyn Mutt Show. I used the 5dIII for all of them. Here is a quick summary of things I like: 1. The AF is spectacular - super (super) fast. 2. The 18 shot burst is only at ISO 100-400. The shutter burst drops significantly (to about 7 frames) by the time you get to ISO 25,600. 3. The View Finder seems bigger than the 5dII - by just a bit...and possibly a bit brighter. I love the new 'grid' options in the view finder. 4. The body is slightly grippier than the 5dii. The Negatives: 1. I am just not a fan of the new menu system. While it is certainly something I am sure I will get to, I find the new system to be just difficult to navigate through. It is incredibly cluttered. Each category has several sub directories and plowing between commands is onerous. Thankfully, most everything I do can be done with the control dials on the camera...but still. However, this is the first time that I have had to actually ever use it. The 5dii is fine as is. I think that the problem is how they arranged the menu. Items that they see as important, I do not for my daily shooting. The menus are cluttered. Anyway, I am off to the Brooklyn Mutt Show again! I will be back tonight. James Morrissey I Carpal Tunnel Registered: 02/10/05 Posts: 7576 Loc: Manhattan, New York, New York	I finished the Brooklyn Mutt Show today. I think that I took over 1500 images with the 5d III over the last two days. Over all, I am really pleased with the camera. I was on the fence as to whether or not I would keep it initially as I will admit that the production of the Nikon D800 kind of blew me away with their 36 megapixel sensor...and of course, the rumors that Canon would be coming out with a 3. I purchased the 5diii because I felt like I absolutely needed a new body. While I have older cameras, I felt that I needed something in the same caliber of the 5dii that I had. The 5diii is all that and more...and now that I have set up the custom directory, I will say that it is pretty easy to navigate. I hope to have an article in the next week up about the 5dIII. I really don't like using ACR, though I have been using it since I got the camera. I have not yet played with the Canon software yet.
