Hi guys, I can't seem to figure out how to post a reasonably-sized image in the critique forum. Here's a link to the page where the image is that I would like a critique on. It's a cell phone image, Samsung Galaxy, lightly processed in PS CS2.

Is there a way to post one image on the critique forum that actually fits comfortably on the screen? I know you don't want a website link but the actual image .url ends up HUGE.

Thank you!

Cathy

Hi Cathy,

You need to link to your own site in order to embed an image. You can embed as large as you want.

We have avoided allowing for people to load photos on to our servers because it takes up so much space.

Having said that - what an image! I love it!! First things first, the color contrasts of the insect and the flower provide for a very bold combination. The only thing negative, and it is not a big deal to me, but I mention it because it is a critique forum, is that I wish that the insects antennae were not cut off on one site. Otherwise, I like pretty much everything about the photo - color, texture, form, etc.

James

Wow, James, coming from you that means the world to me -

Thank you.

BTW, I agree about the antennae - They weren't cropped out intentionally, I was practically touching the critter with the lens of the cell phone, and my shaky hands and arms didn't make it easy to even keep him in frame at all - Sometimes the Gods smile down on me, though.

:- )

Hi Cathy,

Thank you for the very kind words! Honestly, given that it is a cell phone image, I thought it looked really good! What does it for me though are the colors. It is such a bright and happy composition for me. A real piece of visual candy. :P

James
