Yesterday was the best 4th of July fireworks display I have ever seen. Chanthee and I are still talking about it. I think that it was at least in part because we were on top of them. We could not have been more than 200 yards from the barge. That made it really difficult to take landscapes...I really needed a 17 tiltshift (my 24 just did not do it).

Anyway, here is one that I am pleased with. Next shot at fireworks on the East side won't be for another couple of years, but I now know where I want to be for that event. LOL, I think. Perhaps not quite as much fun, but certainly a better landscape opportunity.

Here is the Brooklyn Bridge last night.

James:

Very nice. Looks to me like that had to be about the best seat in the house. From what I can see, looks like a great location for an evening urban landscape shoot too.

I keep telling myself that one of these 4ths I'm going to try my hand at shooting our town's fireworks display, but the thought of fighting the traffic and worrying about all the broken beer bottles littering the roadway near all the prime viewing spots keeps me home.

Don't you know it, Jim. The crowd was insane - the subway was completely packed. Having said that, I don't complain too much. Lol, it is what it is. I just need to remember my spot for two years from now.....cause where I was is not where I want to be!
