Mother, Yearling & Calf Jumping A Fence. The mother jumped behind the tree so no photos, the calf was next and had a problem. The calf got untangled with out any help and seems just fine running with her sister to catch up with mom.

Bottom Line: Another Day In The Life Of A Elk.

I saw something like this on a PBS special earlier this year, here in the New York area. It is amazing how high these guys can jump.

When he hit the ground I was concerned the would be hurt but he seemed OK.
