I took this shot of my cat Gandalf yesterday, I am pretty pleased with it mainly because it is so hard to get a shot of him without a 'get that camera outa my face!' look:)

I have done only minor adjustments in photoshop (contrast, levels and unsharp mask) and was wondering what other adjustments I need to make to it.

Actually I am now viewing it on a different computer than the one I did the adjustments on yesterday and it is appearing a lot darker on this screen than it did on the other one:(

You need to calibrate your monitors or you will be pulling your hair out ;-)

By the way Michelle, I sent you a private message. Hope you got it as my computer had a hiccup while I was sending it!

Nice shot!

Thanks Cheryl, dh is using the main computer so I am relegated to the old one which no amount of calibrating is ever going to improve.

Oh,I got your pm and have replied:)

Cheers

Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Gandalf is magnificent. You are right that there is definitely some difference between monitors - the LCD at work, for example, shows things much brighter than my CRT at home. On my CRT, Gandalf appears just a tad dark.
