Jim Fenton here....from Haverhill, MA. (USA)

I shoot mainly wildlife and landscapes and of the wildlife which I shoot, a large percentage of it is of the feathered variety.

I've now been shooting for just over a year and currently shoot a D2X.

I have had several pieces published by MA Audubon, The State of Massachusetts (5 year Watershed Plan for the Parker River Watershed) and I contribute freely to local non profit organizations.

I also sell my works through several local framers (I sell to the store owners) as well as through two local galleries where I sell my works framed.

If you'd like to take a look at some of my work, you can check out my gallery pages at www.pbase.com/soonipi1957 where there is currently close to 500 images.

Wonderful capture Jim. Great DOF isolating your subject...exposure is spot on...his eyes are tack sharp. Great work!

Hey Jim,

I agree with Roman. Very nice shots. I particularly like the Haverhill Sunset and Plum Island shots in your miscellanious directory.

I would like to hear more about your arrangements with the local arts stores in the Business forum.

Also, curiously, how is folliage coming up your way? I am hoping to go to the White Mountains in a couple of weeks.

Sincerely,
James

Hi, Jim, good to meet you!

That is one awesome image of the owl! Superb exposure, even the snow, and focus spot-on! I enjoyed your galleries. You have quite a collection of outstanding images. I was particularly drawn to the Snow Goose Fly-Out at Bosque! A veritable riot of geese against that golden sky!

I'm just a rank amateur but am anxious to learn from such experienced photographers as yourself.

I look forward to your posts.

Best regards,

Dick:)

Every day is a good day.

Jim,
What a wonderful treat this morning to view your gallery. You have some awesome bird images; excellent use of DOF, composition, and color. It's folks like you that continue to give me inspiration. Outstanding shot of that owl as well.
Look forward to your posts.
Christie

I'd like to thank all of you for the nice comments and for actually haven taken the time to look at some of my shots

I'm sorry that I haven't responded sooner, but I had a run in with a bout of diverticulitis which we though we had under control with oral antibiotics....but somehow, it blew back up and I landed in the hospital for a bit, with 3 different antibiotics pumping into me. Talk about feeling lousy!

Anyway...I'm back and I'm glad to have stopped in to see that you folks had taken the time to look and comment.

Thanks!
