Your design of this image is very strong. Strong enough not to need the beautiful colors one can only image are there. I might shave a bit off the top since to me that seems to strengthen the rows of flowers.

Thank you for the help, most print sizes require some crop so the top looks like a good candidate.

I agree with Peggy Sue. I would love to see the colors of the tulips. Don't get me wrong, I really like B&W images...I do a ton of them. It just seems to me that this shot is aching for color. Do you have the processed color shot that you can share? The composition is quite strong - very well done.

Nice work!!! I agree a bit with James....the B&W you did dosnt work ...but not because it is B&W......we all love contrast...and your B&W is lacking it. As it stands..the color shot is awesome.....nice work!!! If you re-work the B&W...I bet there is a lot of potential in it that can be brought out.

Thank you Roman. I'm a color kind of guy, but the local art critic didnt care for the brown dirt so I tried BW. Since I have never really done any BW, it is something I need to figure out. I would have liked to shoot from more of an angle so just the rows of flowers would show and no ground, but the clouds wouldnt allow me to get a shot like that.

I think I need to talk to the Tulip farmers and have them plant north/south next time

Hi Douglas,

That is magnificent. Very well done - thanks for sharing it...LOL, both versions. However, I really think that the color in the tulips really makes this shot.

Beautiful colors and composition in the color shot. I love the way the rows of tulips lead you through the image. Great shot.
