These are my Moms puppies. She wanted a photo of them. How does it look? I do most of my photography outside and this is new to me.

Hi Emmy,

What tool did you use in order to create the effect of the chair being pulled?

Hi James, I guess you are talking about the blurred edges?
I did it in Photoshop Elements..I first cropped then added the blurred edge.I have edited a few more from that day and adding one more. Please give me advice on what I can do to make my photos better. I am still learning.
Thanks

Welcome! Very cute pups. Tell me about your lighting conditions. What do you like about this image? Most importantly, does you mom like the image?

Looking forward to seeing more.

Hi Peggysue, Both photos were taken in my Mom's house. Fairly good natural lighting, however I used a flash and bounched off the ceiling. I like the photo because I was able to get them to both stay on the chair and the expression on their faces. My Mom has not seen the photos yet. I am planning on having a few printed for her.
How do you like the photo? And how can I improve?

Emmy

I like the chair they are on. Do you use a de-noising filter it looks like they are almost painterly. It looks good though.

Personally I feel expression is the most important aspect to creating an image. It does not always mean them looking straight at the camera. I do like your moms dogs expression a great deal.
The first thing I saw was the technique you used in the blur. To me it is like getting a compliment on a frame before they comment on the image. I would like to see the original an understand why you picked what you did to the image.

I think PS and any program is like this saying = It takes two people to paint a watercolor, one to paint it and one to shoot them before they over work it. I have to always keep myself in check on these tools.

I know this is not in the critique section - but you have asked for input. Hope our ideas help you create the kind of images you know are what you want.
