Meet "Bob"noxious~
He adopted me, when I was checking out the animals that had come in from Hurricane Katrina. I was looking for a kitten(always adopt older cats, never had a kitten), and he smacked me in the shoulder and looked exactly like a pal we had lost, Oscar.
He's very much like Oscar, except Oscar knew when enough was enough!

great shots. I like them both, that cat really has a attitude and you caught it.

The second shot it looks like you just missed the focus as I can see that the rail is focused just in front of the cat - right at the knot. Maybe a little sharpening could bring out the cat, give a try.

Thanks for posting, I'd like to see more. . .

I just love the first, it just oozes personality. I love orange cats. They have the best personalities

Hi Tony~
He's definately got attitude!
Thanks for your comments. I will give sharpening a shot!
Its soo hard to tiptoe around with the camera, that I actually had to sneak in the side of the house to grab the camera, or I'd have to wear it while raking! You see, he was supervising my yard work!
The one on the rail, was actually taken from INside, through a window with my tele, or I'd have missed it.
He was instigating a magpie, who was getting pretty brave at dive bombing him.
Annnnnd...apologies to James, in my calling him Jim. I meant James.
Julie, except for my one steel grey cat, I've always had "golden" cats! They ooze personality! They just don't believe they ARE a cat.

What a beautiful kitty, we have been trying to find a cat just like Bob for my cousin.

I love the first shot. The second is really nice too but like Tony mentioned, looks like focus was off just a bit. Would you mind if I had a go at it to see what I can do in Photoshop, I love tweaking stuff!

Thanks Dee dee!
Go right on ahead.
I just loved how the morning sunlight was sidelighting him.
Trusting my auto focus, was I guess a bit of a job, through the window!

Oooph that was through a WINDOW? Then great job indeed! I wouldn't have guessed. I love that lighting on him too it's my favorite, I am waiting to do a couple more horse shoots in that lighting but we've had such cloudy cool weather I haven't had a chance.

Thanks for letting me play with Bob! I just pp'd about 5 1 and 2 gig cards full of horses, you'd think I'd be sick of it by now but I can't stop lol.

Marta,
I love everything about that first shot including -- and especially -- his attitude. Cats are just so cool!

We also have a cat -- OJ -- found in the middle of one of our busiest roads before his eyes were open and dropped off at our vets. The vets kept him behind the front desk and every time I'd come in for medication or supplies, they'd hand him to me and I'd put him on my shoulder until it was time to leave. When he was ready to come home, it had already been decided he was coming to ours. We bottle-fed him for almost 6 months. He loved it and we just couldn't stop it.

Now, he's 11 years old and thinks he's a dog. He tests all the Rescue Rotties to see if they're OK with cats. If he runs and hides, the Rescues go to non-cat homes!!!!

Thanks for sharing Bob. He's a great cat.

Jim
