Ergh!! Looks fine to me until viewed on the web page. (It does look a bit dark on the web page to me as well.)
Even if I copy the image back from the web page and paste it into Photoshop, the image looks fine again. (So it is not just an sRGB v.s. AdobeRGB issue -- I always convert to sRGB before posting).
Monitor calibration is just turning out to be a big joke.

Hard to look at the histogram... all black background. 80% black rotties. A histogram with emphasis on the left side is to be expected.

Anyway, thanks for the comments. I'll definitely have to pay more attention to what the image looks like after posting and make adjustments. What a pain.

Anyone else have such issues with images appearing dark when viewed via web browser? Or does monitor calibration actually work for anyone?
