Julie,
today was one of the most spectacular days we can have in Central Florida: 72 degrees, clear, crisp, see-forever weather. Hope it holds for next weekend.
My agenda today had me shooting Toy Poodles at 9 am, Rotties at 9:30 am and Dobes at 10 am. Not in adjoining rings! I did a lot of running.
There are times I sit and think about how I'd love to spend a day making images of old barns, or indigenous Florida landscapes. Just set up my camera on a tripod, figure out the exposure, click off 3 exposures for tone-mapping/HDR and then drive off to the next spot to do the same. I might never get paid for that kind of work but I'd really enjoy the pace of it.
In comparison, it's off to one ring to shoot 2 dogs, off to another ring to shoot 5 dogs and then run real fast to catch 3 dogs before they stop showing in Winners in the Dobe ring. Puff. Puff. The photography is only a small piece of this action. The key is getting there and in position to get something!!!
Can't wait for you and Dot to get here. Safe flight.
Jim
