Utah hotels felt the recessionary crunch in February.
Occupancy levels statewide and in Salt Lake County were down 9 percent from the same month a year earlier. In the heart of ski season, Utah's mountain resorts did even worse, finishing a full 12 percent off the pace of February 2008, according to figures from the Denver-based Rocky Mountain Lodging Report.
