I would not bet on him being cat-friendly -- Staffy Bulls tend to have pretty high prey-drive. So, unless he was brought up with cats, he's likely to think they are play toys. Not good for a cat!

Keep in mind that as cute as they look -- and they are adorable -- they are also very tough. The breed was originally created to bait bulls and bears. Later, when dog fighting was popularized in England, the dog was used in that venue. Over the past few decades, the breed has been removed from the dog-fighting arena and has become an outstanding family dog with courage, loyalty and great affection for people, especially children.

People adopting this type of dog need to know that it is both tough and lovable. They need owners of equal fortitude.
