Guadalupe Mountains National Park is along the New Mexico and Texas border. South of the NM and TX border is Guadalupe Mountains National Park and north of the border it is called Carlsbad Caverns National Park. It is one of my favorite National Parks. There is an old Butterfield Stage Coach Station located there and the trip up McKittrick Canyon is worth the travel to the park. On the west side of the park is an Alkalai Salt Flat, just white for miles. This park is a gift from the oil companies that used it for a company getaway in years past.
