Yellowstone National Park--Arnica Fire evening update September 25, 2009
As of late Friday afternoon, the Arnica Fire in Yellowstone was estimated at 1,200 acres in size (up from 250 acres on Thursday) and growth is expected for the next 48 hours. Helicopters are dropping water on the southern flank of the fire. Smokejumpers are protecting values at risk.
