Yellowstone (and Grand Teton) National Park News:
Destination of the week: Jackson Hole, Wyo.
This skiing hot spot has plenty going on when it's not snowing: How about biking, hiking or camping for starters?

Grand Teton National Park is a major warm-weather draw. It is nearly on par with national parks like Yosemite and nearby Yellowstone.

Zion National Park News:
Preserving the Sound of Silence in Zion National Park

Though I've become accustomed to the constant drone of urban noise, its occasional absence reminds me just how much sound is a key, if little-considered, aspect of how we experience places, whether natural or developed. For just that reason, a landmark program is under way in Utah to preserve how a popular national park sounds.
