A Florida family is facing felony charges in one of Montana's largest poaching cases in history.
Officials with Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks said the crimes were committed on private property in Yellowstone and Big Horn Counties. Wildlife investigators said they believe that the parties in question knew that their actions were illegal and repeatedly hunted trophy game without the proper licenses. "The wildlife of Montana belong to the people of Montana, and when somebody kills an animal without a license, they're stealing from the people of Montana," said F.W.P. Spokesman Bob Gibson.
