Super macro shots, James! Beautiful exposures and focus, rivaling the dedicated macro lenses! That combo is a killer and I've been thinking about a 500D for my 70-200.

I really became aware of how much life there is in the deserts when I was in California many years ago, courtesy of the USAF. I spent a lot of time out in the Mojave and down in Mexico and just fell in love with the deserts, especially when the cactus and flowers were blooming.
