Avalanche danger "considerable" around Big Sky and some mountains near Yellowstone Park
The Gallatin National Forest is rating the avalanche danger around Big Sky, Cooke City and the Lionhead area near West Yellowstone as, "considerable." That's number 3 on a scale of 1 to 5 on the North American Avalanche Danger Scale.
