Looks to me like you have captured the "Forest Kingfisher". They are striking little birds. We just got back from Fraser Island in SE Queensland and got to see Sacred, Azure and Forest Kingfishers in the wild. I didn't succeed in getting a good picture of the Forest K. As someone else mentioned, they are rather spooky. But it was exciting to see one. They are a beautiful flash of blue when they fly.

Is Birdworld a zoo in Cairns? I have not been as high up as Cairns.
