Rocky Mountain National Park visits surge in June
Strong month pushes year-to-date totals above 2010 levels
With Trail Ridge Road open and the spate of bad weather over, visits to Rocky Mountain National Park surged during June, pushing overall visits ahead of the pace set in 2010. Visitors flocked to the park to the tune of 517,830, or 11.6 percent greater than June 2010. The big June numbers also pushed the year-to-date total close to the one million mark for the year. Through June, 957,237 visitors had been counted. This is 2.35 percent above last year`s January through June total of 892,563 visitors.
