great dogs and super shots. Those are the first bearcoated Shar Peis I've seen and they are gorgeous. I have similar shots of two of my Rotties -- Sundance and Moxie -- running around the yard with Moxie attached to his cheek! BTW, we have a long-coat Rottie who is out of our stud dog. The long-coat gene is a recessive that is actually in all lines but long coats are considered a disqualifying fault in Conformation. Yet most of the long-coats I've met have great temperaments and excellent structure. Maybe it's time to add a Variety to both breeds smile.

Hi Jim,
I fully support this petition. I generally am of the opinion that today's standards are far to narrow (hope you understand what I want to say). 100 years ago, the looks of the dogs representing the same breed differed far more than they are allowed to today. To achieve the standards we've got more and more inbreeding, resulting in more and more diseases and allergies. It's so idiotic.
