Maybe I missed something but isn't the "light leak" really the reason they put the eyepiece shade on the camera strap so that no ambient light will be fed to the sensor through the eyepiece during time exposures in the dark? Is this another "amazing discovery" that was uncovered by Robby Nikon Galbraith? smile
