Junior Rangers Make a Big Impact at Bryce Canyon National Park
Three sisters from Martinsburg, West Virginia caused quite a stir recently when they came into the Bryce Canyon National Park Visitor Center. The girls turned the heads of visitors and staff as they marched up to the information desk wearing vests pinned with literally hundreds of Junior Ranger badges and patches.

Popular Highline Trail in Glacier Park to open Friday, possibly earlier
Rock slides and an employee injury slowed the opening of the popular Highline Trail at Glacier National Park’s Logan Pass this summer, but crews working to clear the scenic trail of debris anticipate having it ready for hikers by Friday, and possibly earlier.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is seeking volunteers with an interest in the outdoors who don't mind hiking and helping out at heights above 6,000 feet — at the Clingmans Dome visitor contact station nestled a few hundred feet below the highest point along the Appalachian Trail.
