How Have National Parks And Public Lands Fared Under The Obama Administration? (Editorial)

The Economics of National Parks (Editorial)
The financial pressures on the national park system noted in the Sept. 5 editorial “America the less beautiful” seem senseless even if viewed solely from an economic perspective. These parks more than pay their own way when one considers their effect on the U.S. economy, from the transportation, accommodation and other expenditures of the system’s almost 300 million annual visitors. There have been eight confirmed cases and three people have died. One of the survivors said the warnings came too late.
