I took a few shots of these young buffalo (one bull and one cow) this weekend while I was at the Roosevelt National Park in ND! Nothing great, but it was fun watching them. . . With buffalo as with ALL wildlife, it's about the eye, the light and the crop, period. . . The subject does not always have to be a trophy specimen, so long as you have a few of the right elements. . .

BTW, these are IN CAMERA crops, and shot with a N 80-400 vr and d200 jpg, and lost of in camera adjustments to pull out the colors in flat, dull light. . . I think that's why they put all those adjustments on the camera. I know this much, if you dont use them, your likely to miss some great opportunities - experement when you can and and keep a few extra batteries in your pocket. . . LOL
