Thanks ever so much for your input. I can safely say that you definitely have given me some pointers as to how to increase dramatic effect in my photograph. I must say I feel quite honoured that you chaps have gone to this trouble, and have learnt from you both. Mastering Capture NX is something I have yet to do, having received it free with my D300. It certainly seems that the control points will be very useful.

I'm not sure about removing the wind turbines. I know these are controversial, but in a sense create a link with the location at Formby (for better or worse) which I think is important. I will have a go myself using the tips you have given, and show you my efforts when I have finished.
