It looks like I have made up my mind on the Dell 2208. It is more within my price range than the 24 inch monitor - though I really want the bigger screen.

Now, for the next part - monitor calibration. My current calibration tool is an older Monitor Sypder by Colorvision (Pantone). It is several years old (probably 5 or 6) and LCDs were not really part of the scene at that time. Does anyone have thoughts as to the best, most affordable, color tool?

Also, how often do LCDs need to be recalibrated?
