show Rotties look like Sundance -- even the girls (yikes)! Ms Pinkler looks like a Whippet . Not that I don't love Whippets.

I agree completely which is why we really try to place the "show prospects" in pet homes that are willing to try showing as opposed to show homes that keep them in a kennel and would be very disappointed if they did not turn out. All the "show" puppies in this last litter went to great pet homes. Some are starting to show but, right now, they have a lot of growing to do.

Meanwhile, people keep asking when we're going to show Sundance. And we keep saying "we'll see". He has more breed type in his right front paw than most male Rottweilers have in their entire bodies but he's not as correct structurally as we'd like. Plus, as you know all too well, the breed ring can get pretty petty. I don't know that we need to put him through the criticism that will surely come. He'll do just fine in Obedience, Rally, Herding, Carting and Therapy Work.

And Ms Pinkler will be a lovely pet and a wonderful companion. It doesn't get any better than that.
