first of all, how wonderful to hear from you. I think about you often. Hope all is going well in your life. As for Rowdy and Crash, yes, it was pretty devastating. With Rowdy, we had time to plan. He was diagnosed with cancer in July and given very little time. He decided otherwise and lived a full 3 months despite his body's decline. When he left, he told us it was time.

Crash was sudden and due to a large mass discovered the weekend before we had decided to put Rowdy down. Crash was always the silent one in the house. The one that got his attention when the others weren't around. The guy who went out with me every morning to get the newspaper. I miss him so much because there wasn't time to say "goodbye" the way we had with Rowdy. They were both wonderful dogs and lifelong companions and we loved them both equally and miss them both equally.
