Allegedly, they have the largest population the Eastern seaboard, with a population of about 800 spread over a fairly large region.

We were out there last year and saw some of them. The herd is still kind of tiny, but you do get to see them more prominently that you might see otherwise.

I thought you guys spent alot of time up at Jackson Hole. I would think you would have had enough elk after spending time up there?
