We have had the bluebird house setup in the yard for the last 7 years. Every year a House Wren would beat him to it. We would get 2 or 3 broods per year in the "Bluebird" house but hardly ever even saw a Bluebird.
A couple days ago my wife spotted this guy on the fence. I didn’t want to pester them to much as it appears they have yet to lay their eggs. Once they have eggs in the house, I think I will be less apt to scare them away, and can get better shots. I mean if I hang out their to much they could consider it a less desirable neighborhood:) I think I will also setup a couple perches. I think I'll go get some dead branches and tie them to the fence so the photo will look more appealing. Unless you guys like the Styrofoam scarecrow head and the green wire.
