I needed a Christmas card photo and I needed some examples for my portrait deal I am doing.

Here are two that I will decide between for my Christmas card:

The first is better of the dogs and the second better of the kids. Getting three dogs, and two kids to pose, ESPECIALLY hen they are yours, is not fun! We all three danced to loud music after this shoot. I was so glad to at least get a couple

These are actually sharp, not sure what happened in the compression of them

Can you tell which child is the ham?

Julie,
The first photo your daughter (the HAM) is sitting too low, this causes her shoulders to be raised too high causing the shrugged shoulder look. A Mother command of "get off your butt" might have gotten her higher to eliminate that look. They are all very nice.;)

I agree with David. I like #1 a lot, except for the awkwardness of your daughter's arm over the dogs. #3 is absolutely precious, and the last one is begging for a caption!! Nice work, Julie.

Hey Julie,

I think that they are all nice as well. I think you are right though as to the situation - the kids are better in one and the dogs are better in the other

As to the 2nd batch of shots, I think I prefer the last of the three. It is quite 'real' and very well done. The exposure looks perfect.

James
