Ok, I bit on the free trials on these. I am liking the cs3 for purchase, upgrading from cs2. I am having trouble justifying the lightroom while the browser & raw converter in cs3 is so good. I can get them both together at a discount, though, so I wonder if I would like the lightroom more if I were more familiar with it. Any one else have all three of these for recomendations? I generally like these kinds of things,,,,,,

I use CS3 and Lightroom. I process my images in LR more so than in CS3. I like the batch processing capabilities more in LR than in CS3 and LR does have a few more features.

Thank-you for commenting. I find the combined offer for both CS3 and Lightroom an iresistable upgrade to CS2. I guess that what keeps Adobe in business!

I like Lightroom, I have been testing it. I don't think that I will be using on my job sites as it is too slow in rendering the screen shots. I still find the fastest 3 browsers are (in order of speed) Photo Mechanic, Nikon View/View NX, Digital Pro.

One thing I do not like about LR is you cannot import JPEG and RAW files of the same shot simultaneously, according to the Kelby book I am reading. So, since I shoot Raw + JPEG, there isn't a sensible way to import them together, that I have found yet. I am glad I found this out. Major problemo to me. I have the jpeg set up in camera to a likely setting, and sometimes just use it instead of the raw, but always want the raw shot for the real keepers. The jpeg settings in Canon cameras can be tweeked pretty good in a lot of cases in camera. So maybe I will just stick with CS3 until they change that flaw.
