Have been lurking for the better part of a year but have finally bitten the bullet and joined the forum. My name is Kim and I reside in Canada with my Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Gus (9 yrs) and Kelly (8.5 yrs), and my Whippet, Skeet (3.5 yrs).

I got my first SLR (Nikon) in the mid '80's, my first digital p&s (Konica Minolta) camera in 2004 and my current DSLR (Pentax) last March. I must admit, I am a sponge for this stuff and am on a constant quest to learn and improve! I'd LOVE to upgrade this year...will definitely purchase a fast lens but might consider a new cam & lens IF I can swing it financially.

My main focus is dogs, prefering candids and action shots, both in natural, outdoor settings (love capturing dogs being dogs ).

Here are a few examples of my shooting style, assuming that I do this correctly!!!

Hey Kim,

Welcome aboard. Sadly, when I click on any of your links, I get a 'forbidden access' page.

Hi Kim and welcome,

I'm having the same problem with the links. Love Staffie Bulls! Some very close friends of ours had one and we just adored her. They can be tough with other dogs but are wonderful with people.

Can't wait to see some of your work.

Jim

OK...the photos showed up on preview but not now. What is the best way to imbed from a pbase account?

I love staffies and I think everyone knows how I feel about whippets

To embed a photo, make sure that your account is not private where you can't share them. Then right click on the photo and get the url with .jpg on the end. With firefox, you can just right click and click "save image location" with IE you have to right click and copy the properties

Then hit the image button here, paste in the url of the jpg and it should show up

Kim,
follow Julie's directions but make sure you add ".jpg" at the end of the string. Otherwise, it won't work.

I simply pull up the image in pbase and open NWP in a separate browser window. Then I copy the url for the image into the "Image" window in the NWP message and add the ".jpg" and that's it.

It took me three attempts before I got it right . So don't despair; just keep trying.

Jim

Weird...immediately after my last response the pictures turned to red x's again. Can anyone else see them?
