Here's a couple of green-winged macaws from last night at a local Parrot Club's meeting (I'm not a bird owner, but was invited to shoot). I'd thought through the set prior, bringing it all with me. In the end, I'd wished I'd thought out the note to Santa's size better, though. Thing is, some of the birds are small, and some, like these macaws, friggin' HUGE. With a line of people waiting to get to the photo station, 200+ people having a holiday party around me, and birds squawking like a symphony, it was all pretty overwhelming - but in the end, I think it went pretty well. What do you think?

Great shot! At first, I thought the photo was a bit busy. The more I look at it though, the more I like it. The wishlist is VERY cute.

Beautiful photo. Doing birds would be great as they are much easier to get to sit in one place!!! I can imagine the noise level was unbelievable though!

James, I do wish the bow in the lower-right was absent. I'd set up the set, but again, with the varying size (and disposition) of the subjects, it ended up being a crap shoot as to whether or not I'd succeed with each bird! Some just have the milk and cookies, so without the note the photo loses context - and others just have the tree in the background, simplifying.
