Took Rowdy for a walk on the Nature Trail last evening and had a lovely time meeting people, wildlife and taking a few photos along the way. Rowdy spotted a juvenile Alligator in the stream and walked toward it. When the gator spotted him, he dove under the weeds in a big splash. Frankly, I think Rowdy was as startled as the gator .

Further on, we stopped to rest in a field of wildflowers and I grabbed a few shots with my 70-200. Here's Rowdy's "ode to Earth Day" photo. Hope you enjoy your day.

LOL, Amen to that. I hope that folks are starting to Frontline (or equivalent...we use Revolution) when traveling outside. Mahkayla, Chanthee and I were out photographing in the Meadowlands on Saturday and - LOL - believe it or not, I was the only one who came out with a bunch of ticks on me.

In Florida, ticks and fleas are a year-round issue and so, therefore, is treatment including Heartworm preventative. The nice thing about short-coated dogs is that you can check them pretty thoroughly after a meadow-run. Now, the Golden is another issue completely .
