Michaels and JoAnns are the two best that we've found. We also shop antique galleries, flea markets (risky but so far no infestations ) and garage sales.

For the fall stuff, local produce markets have everything. Keep in mind that here in Florida, we don't have to worry about snow so stuff gets put out and is easy to find at roadside stands.

For flags/4th of July items, try a flag store. Yup, they really do exist. For Xmas stuff, you guessed it, try a Xmas store.

Stuff that is always good: silk flower arrangements, garden pots, boxes of any size & shape.

I have been ordering some online, peach baskets from a barrel company, dog hats from a doggy store, etc.

Props seem to double the sales potential. One sale for a classic portrait and a bunch of smaller sales for cute props. I have also started using more formal props for seasonal props and breed specific props. Breed Specific?-shotgun scene with a birddog, Jim Poor's idea of scottish kilt with Scottish Terrier, country scene props with a bloodhound, etc.

i have a big bin filled with props (actually i have a few bins at home, but try to limit to one when i go shooting). i seem to have a prop buying addiction! lol

i think my most liked props are the sunglasses, hats (cowboy & firechief) & the feather boas. i let people sort through the bin if they want a prop or not.
