The same friend as the one with the Chinese crested and her show Danes. Her pick puppy was hit by a car a few weeks ago, which is why she is wearing a cast.

This was the best we could get the puppy to stack

Head shot of puppy:

The puppy's dam

I am going to just have to start using fill flash!!

Wow! I absolutely love the second one. If only on the third he'd looked your way!

For show portraits, are these too centered? I had someone comment on them that they were too centered. Which may be the case.

Julie,
not to be too critical, but never -- ever -- shoot a dog 3/4 from the rear. You should always see the left front in front of the right front and the left rear in front of the right rear.

No dog looks good from a 3/4 rear angle. Period.

I've judged in the AKC ring and I can tell you that no judge ever looks at a dog from that angle. So don't shoot them from that angle.

Jim

Great! Thank you. I really appreciate it. Be as critical as you want, can't learn if you blow smoke up ones butt

Jim,

Your input in these areas have been great so far. Thanks for sharing (and of course to Julie too!).

These are beautiful Julie. I had a wonderful Dane once (fawn). I hope the puppy heals from his injury. I love the lighting in the second one. And I love the background in all of them.

Thanks for the input Jim. I took a peek at your web sites, some awesome stuff there!
