I hope the general section is OK for this.

I'm sure you've heard of the dog that got lost at Dulles Airport in VA. She has been sighted as recently as last night.

We're manning feeding stations and such in the area she was spotted.

We could use more eyes in the area.

Thanks for asking.

The effort is still in progress. Jeddah has been sighted frequently over the last few days and we are tracking her movements based on sightings and limited use of some tracking dogs.

I put up some IR/night vision trail cameras today and have some more non-IR models to put up tomorrow.

Traps are being set up and we're trying to make certain areas more comfortable for her. We have a feeding station that she has visited stocked with her favorite food and monitored by a camera and folks that are trying to hide in cars and such.

My personal next step is to take a pop-up hunting blind to a "hot spot" and lay in wait with my camera to get a current picture of her and see if she gets close enough to grab.

She's been within 10 feet of a human in the last couple days, but bolted as soon as the looked at her.

If anyone has an IR trail camera to loan / donate, I'd be greatful, since I could only find a few in stores today and had to settle for the rest in non-IR models.

Lots of news coverage in the area so hopefully she'll wander into a fenced yard, garage, or trap soon.

Hey Jim,

Looks like they still have not found this guy. That is very sad. Is the search still going strong?

James

She's being sighted by people and some of the sightings have been confirmed by scent dogs. In a bit if a karma deposit, the dog's owner and I rescued another stray today that we came across during the search.

In short, there is a lot of searching going on still and a lot of news coverage to keep it in peoples' minds.
