I really like the idea of these running threads. I am moving into a new (old) studio so I have taken a break from photography. This image is from last week. This lab was very camera shy and nervous in front of the flash, going outside did not help because he still associated the camera with the studio lights.

Hey John,

Very nice shot. I have been doing far less pet work than I have in prior months, so I have been feeling a bit thwarted, LOL. I love showing pictures of my guys, but I really like showing some new work as well. I am doing some massive outreach and hope to be up and moving fully by Holiday time.

Cheers
James

Julie this is a lovely girl. The setting is perfect for her.

Since we are a week late on this thread, I am posting the cat that will be visiting my studio as soon as he is crated and shipped. Cannot wait! Spent most of last week putting the deal together.

Also this weekend was a show near me that had about 1000 dogs. Love to just be a fly on the wall at this show. This one is for you Jim since this rottie was in the group. Sami won the group and went on to win BIS.

Julie,
these are very, very nice. I like the poses and I also like your post-processing. Great ad shots.

Also, lovely girl! Very feminine with a lovely headpiece.

Great stuff!

James, this cat is an antique carrousel animal that is coming here for restoration. It will be painted to look like the owners cat. I will post the finished image if you would like to see the final result.

PeggySue,
any idea what the Rottie's name is? Nice moving shot but I'm not crazy about that topline. But then, I'm a topline freak.

The latest battle in the magazine is the issue of tails vs no tails and the ironic fact that a Rottie with a tail simply can't have a level topline and hold the tail correctly. It has to drop at the croup.

The point I've always made about Rowdy is that if he had a tail, it would be "gay" given his topline and tailset. The people in favor of tails don't seem to get that point.

Anyway, if you know the dog's name or can give me the location of the show, I'd appreciate it.

Jim

Jim, I thought she was a nice moving bitch but I was not impressed with her head. Since I am a head hunter, I guess we all have our favorite parts to look for. Here is another shot of her movement.
The show was Elgin Kennel Club show held in St. Charles, IL.
